Every club member has a role to play in the safe return of netball. All players, officials and club volunteers have a responsibility to familiarise themselves with the game modifications and comply with the risk mitigation protocols England Netball have put into place.
As a club member we require you to understand the following before signing to opt-in to return to netball:
If you feel that you can adapt to the new protocols and follow the club operating processes then we welcome you back to netball! In order for us to allow this, we require you to read the below statements and sign to acknowledge the conditions.
Opt-in Statement:
I have been made aware of the risks associated with netball activity and COVID-19 and understand this. I also understand there are some people who are of higher risk of contracting COVID-19.
I am comfortable with the information I have been provided with and opt-in to participate in netball. I also confirm I understand the requirements and steps I need to take to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 through netball and agree to take all these steps.
As a club member we require you to understand the following before signing to opt-in to return to netball:
- There are still risks posed to the netball community, even following the adaptations to the game which have been made, and the heightened responsibilities the club are undertaking to keep all players, and the club community safe. If you, or a member of your family, are considered to have moderate or high-risk considerations it is strongly suggested that you take the time to understand these risks and make your choice with those in mind. There is no pressure to return to playing netball on you, everyone is different, but if you do return the club will ensure that risks are evaluated and mitigated actions put in place to protect everyone
- It is your responsibility to ensure you do not put others at risk. By attending any training session, competition or other club-based activity you are stating you, at the time of participating in a club arranged activity are:
- not showing any signs or symptoms of COVID-19
- have not had any contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days
- You are also not under quarantine or self-isolation due to travel or any other reason - It is your responsibility to inform the club COVID-19 Officer if you test positive for COVID-19 and provide information about signs and symptoms
- It is your responsibility to follow all guidance provided to you by your club committee, officials and England Netball
- It is your responsibility to report to the club committee anything that you feel is not working to keep us all safe. The committee are following Government and England Netball guidance but need your help to ensure we comply with this
